2. Data Processing in the App
Cook&Track processes the following data:
- Meal data: Your entered meals, ratings, and notes
- Recipes: Your saved recipes and ingredients
- Photos: Images you take or select
This data is stored exclusively on your device and optionally synchronized via your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your data.
3. iCloud Synchronization
If you have enabled iCloud for Cook&Track, your data will be synchronized via Apple iCloud. This synchronization is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
We do not have access to your data stored in iCloud.
4. No Advertising, No Tracking
Cook&Track does not display any advertising and does not use any analytics or tracking tools. Your usage data is not collected or shared with third parties.
5. Legal Basis
The processing of your data is based on the following legal grounds (Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR):
- Contract performance (lit. b): Providing app functionality, iCloud synchronization
- Legitimate interest (lit. f): App improvement, bug fixing
6. Data Retention
- Local app data: Until you uninstall the app or manually delete the data
- iCloud data: Until you delete it in iCloud settings
- Support inquiries: 3 years after completion of the inquiry
7. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Apple iCloud: Optional data synchronization (Apple Inc., USA)
Apart from the optional iCloud synchronization, we do not share your data with third parties.
8. Camera and Photos
The app requires access to:
- Camera: To take photos of your meals
- Photo Library: To select and save images
You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Your photos in the Apple Photo Library are never modified or deleted by the app.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app or deleting the data in the app settings.
The competent supervisory authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
